CORPORATE PROFESSIONAL MEET UP ARRANGED BY CORPORATE ACADEMY

A seminar on orientation of the third batch of POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN VAT, INCOME TAX and CUSTOMS MANAGEMENT and increasing the professional excellence on VAT and Income Tax affairs was held recently at an elite hotel in Dhaka where senior officials of the National Board of Revenue to professionals from different walks of life were present. 

Arifur Rahman, Chairman, Corporate Academy welcomed everyone at the beginning of the program. and Farhad Khan, Chief Movement Maker and Corporate Trainer of the Corporate Academy were in charge of conducting the program.

Speaking as the chief guest at the seminar, 2nd Secretary of the National Board of Revenue "Mr. Bapan Das" emphasized the importance of building a healthy tax culture by learning tax management properly and thanked the Corporate Academy for playing a leading role in creating trained manpower in this regard.

Speaking as the special guest, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes Mr. "Omar Faruk Khan" stressed on the need for professionals to play a more active role through proper tax training to build a prosperous Bangladesh. In this regard, he highly appreciated the corporate academy for working relentlessly to build the right tax culture.

Speaking as one of the special guests of the seminar, eminent VAT and tax expert "Mr. Snehasish Barua FCA" said that there is no alternative to taxation compliance to build a prosperous Bangladesh and therefore, proper training on VAT and tax will accelerate the overall development of the country along with business.

Mr. Sheikh Aminur Rahman, "Chief Business Officer" of Nagad, a financial services company, was also present at the seminar. Mentioning that "Nagad" has been recognized as the highest taxpayer within three years of the beginning of the business, Sheikh Aminur Rahman stressed the importance of building a healthy VAT culture in every organization. However, in that case, he also emphasized on the goodwill of the senior officials of the organization.

Mr. Mostafa SHajjad Hasan FCA, another special guest present at the seminar, urged all to work with awareness about the structural development of the existing tax law as well as its updated information.

The Corporate Academy has been working relentlessly to enhance professional excellence, thereby playing an effective role in developing a healthy tax culture in the country. As a result, the Post Graduate Diploma in VAT, Income Tax and Customs Management (PGD VICM) course has been introduced which is accredited by the International Professional Accreditation council (IPAC), Singapore, in order to improve the overall professional excellence of VAT, Income Tax and Customs.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Rafiqul Islam, Executive Director of Walton, gave timely guidance by encouraging the professors present to know better about the tax related laws.

At the end of the seminar, crests were distributed among all the participating professionals.
