Eugene Levy shared what his plans were in the acting industry

Eugene Levy recently offered an insight on his retirement plan, hinting that it “may not” be too far away.

The Schitt’s Creek star opened up to The Independent, and revealed that the prospect for retirement was in the pipeline.

The 77-year-old actor confessed: “I’m not afraid of retirement.”

He further added, “I love it when I have nothing on the agenda, I really do. I love getting up and the only big decision is where to go for lunch. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

The Reluctant Traveler host revealed that he’s not looking forward to any long-term projects as of now.

Levy explained that instead, the actor has eyes for projects that he finds “really interesting, and jobs that won’t be too time-consuming — but I don’t think I’d get into another series where you’re working six days a week for five months straight.”

While conversing with the outlet, the actor emphasized that he’s not leaving anytime soon.

He concluded his statement by adding: “No, not ruling anything out”

“Including retirement, but I think there’s still a few jobs in me left.”

Although there were speculations about Levy joining the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building, they, however, turned out to be false.

For the unversed, Levy is known for his work in notable projects, including Schitt’s Creek, SCTV, Canada’s sketch comedy show, and American Pie franchise, among others.
