Former US President Donald Trump is once again back in hot waters but this time not for what he said but for what he posted.

The Republican presidential candidate is facing immense backlash for posting a video featuring the back of a pickup truck that has the image of President Joe Biden lying horizontally all tied up, The Guardian reported.

He shared the video on his social media platform Truth Social on Friday, showcasing a pickup truck with a “Trump 2024” sticker, pro-police flags, and a bumper sticker with the Biden image.

The video has ignited a round of condemnation from critics. 

Biden campaign communications director, Michael Tyler, referring to the 2021 Capitol attack, said: “Trump is regularly inciting political violence and it’s time people take him seriously – just ask the Capitol police officers who were attacked protecting our democracy on January 6.”

In response, Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, replied that the picture depicts people’s sentiments towards the Democratic opponent and features the back of a pickup truck that was travelling down the highway.

He said: “Democrats and crazed lunatics have not only called for despicable violence against [former] president Trump and his family, they are actually weaponising the justice system against him.”
