The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says despite casualties and unfortunate incidents, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has been miraculously rebuilt.
Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks on Wednesday, more than a month after the Israeli regime assassinated Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a strike on southern Beirut following the assassination of many top-ranking commanders of the movement by the occupying entity.
“The Zionist regime thought that by eliminating the leadership and command structure of Hezbollah in Lebanon, it could stop the effectiveness of this resistance group.”
“However, despite the casualties and unfortunate incidents, Hezbollah has been miraculously rebuilt in the face of these repeated and severe blows.”
“Now, it stands heroically and confidently on the field against the Zionist regime, with the balance of power shifting daily in favor of the resistance movement,” the IRGC chief stated.
Salami then touched on Operation True Promise I on April 13 and Operation True Promise II on October 1, which saw the Islamic Republic firing hundreds of ballistic missiles towards sensitive targets across the occupied Palestinian territories in retaliation for acts of deadly aggression by the regime against the country and other regional nations.
In the early hours of October 26, Israeli warplanes used the space available to the US military in Iraq to fire long-range air-to-air missiles at military installations in Iran’s Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces. The assault killed four Iranian Army officers and a civilian.
The IRGC chief said Israel’s calculation regarding the lack of response to its recent attack against Iran is incorrect.
“In the unparalleled and historic Operation True Promise, the powerful will of the Islamic system was demonstrated against any form of aggression to the world and the Zionist regime.”
“It defeated the regional and international coalition formed to defend this regime, shattering the illusion of the Zionist regime’s invincibility forever,” Salami said.
Tehran has time and again said a firm, calculated and timely response to Israel’s October attack is certain.
The IRGC chief also referred to the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, which saw the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement and its fellow Gaza Strip-based Palestinian resistance movement of the Islamic Jihad storming the occupied Palestinian territories and taking more than 240 Israelis captive.
Salami described Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as a serious shock and a real warning for the survival of the Zionist regime.
“The evident intelligence failure of the Zionist regime made them aware of their level of vulnerability. This operation demonstrated that the time gap between a tactical action and a strategic defeat for the Zionist regime is very short,” the IRGC chief said.
Salami said the Zionist regime is lacking strategic depth and emphasized that the regime’s capacity and resilience to face defeat are very limited, so much so that the first defeat could mean destruction for Zionists.
“Geographically, the region and the densely populated areas within the occupied territories inherently make the Zionist regime highly vulnerable,” he added.
The commander-in-chief of IRGC emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a global power in the present era
“Today, by the will of God, the mighty Islamic Republic stands firmly against the arrogant powers, and there is no cause for concern for the country.”
