Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah says it has attacked Israel’s military intelligence base near Tel Aviv with a barrage of missiles.
Hezbollah said in a statement on Tuesday that its fighters fired “a salvo of missiles” at the Glilot military base in the Tel Aviv suburbs.
They also targeted Israeli troops in four locations including near the Lebanese town of Khiam, it said. Reports said Hezbollah fighters continue to battle Israeli forces on the outskirts of the southern Lebanese town .
On Monday, the fighters of Hezbollah successfully thwarted Israeli attempts to advance in the towns of Khiam and Chama in South Lebanon.
Hezbollah said that its fighters targeted Monday a group of Israeli forces in rocket and drone strikes in southern Lebanon.
The resistance fighters caused causalities among Israeli forces when they targeted a house on the northern outskirts of the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras with a guided missile.
Israel’s military admitted Tuesday that a soldier “was killed during combat in southern Lebanon.” Three other soldiers were wounded.
Hezbollah also shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 drone over the town of Taybeh with a surface-to-air missile.
Israel’s illegal settlements and military bases in northern occupied territories also targeted Monday by a barrage of missiles launched from southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah has been conducting rocket and drone strikes on northern occupied territories in support of its Palestinian ally Hamas, following the start of the genocidal war in Gaza last October.
