At least three Palestinians, including two children, have been killed in an Israeli drone strike in the occupied West Bank.
WAFA News Agency reported on Wednesday that the attack targeted a site in Tammoun town in Tubas city. The victims included two children aged 9 and 10, and a 23-year-old man.
Israeli forces seized their bodies while withdrawing from the town, WAFA reported.
The regime confirmed the drone strike, claiming that the three Palestinians killed in the attack were allegedly planting an explosive device.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society accused the regime’s forces of preventing medics from reaching the site of the attack.
The new wave of attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank comes after Resistance Fighters killed three Israeli settlers and injured another 8 near the illegal settlement of Kedumim.
After the death of its illegal settlers, the Israeli regime’s finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, said Palestinian cities of the occupied West Bank should look like Gaza’s Jabalia.
“Funduq, Nablus and Jenin need to look like Jabalia,” he said, referring to the northern Gaza area that the Israeli regime has besieged, leveled, and deprived of humanitarian aid for weeks.
The Israeli regime’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, also met with senior military officials in the aftermath of these attacks. “No one will be spared,” he added on his X account.
He approved a series of “offensive and defensive actions” in the occupied West Bank and measures to capture the Resistance Fighters.
Since then, Israeli forces have increased their presence in the occupied territory, blocking off many areas, and putting security checks on roads in and out of the occupied region.
Furthermore, Israeli settlers have increased their attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, burning houses and vehicles belonging to Palestinians.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since October 2023, 847 Palestinians have been killed and over 6,700 others injured in the occupied West Bank by the regime forces.
