A US-based rights group has criticized the United States, Israel, Canada, and other Western countries for “genocide” of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention, in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday, condemned “the West’s support for the genocide of Palestinians.”

“The Lemkin Institute condemns Israel, Europe, Canada, and the USA for perpetrating genocide in Gaza.”

The ongoing mass killing of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children in Gaza “is a moral wrong that should haunt these countries for eternity,” it added.

“Genocide prevention has died in Gaza,” the Lemkin Institute said, adding that,” Genocide is now the prevailing order of the world today.”

The Lemkin Institute warned that people in power wanted to keep the public in the dark regarding the ongoing genocide despite Israeli leaders themselves repeatedly confessing that they aimed to kill all the Palestinians.

It highlighted that it is high time for the world community to stand up and take action against those perpetrating the US-led Israeli genocide against Palestinians.

The Lemkin Institute called on the world community to take decisive measures to halt “this endless horror from elites,” making an indirect reference to world leaders like Donald Trump and his right-wing billionaire backers like Elon Musk.

In October 2023, the Lemkin Institute began warning that the Israeli regime forces had launched a genocidal war against the defenseless Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

On January 21, 2025, following the second inauguration of Donald Trump, the Lemkin Institute issued a Red Flag Alert for Genocide concerning the Elon Musk gesture controversy at that time on the news.

The Lemkin Institute said that it “strongly believe[d]” that the gesture was an intentional Nazi salute and that “leaders, and people in positions of great power, like Elon Musk, [should absolutely be taken] at their word when they signal allegiance with hate groups through signals or through speech.”
