Relatives of the Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in the Mawasi area attend their funeral ceremony in Khan Yunis on April 15, 2025.

Israel has killed at least 17 more Palestinians in 24 hours, bringing the death toll from the regime’s campaign of genocide in Gaza to 51,000 since October 2023.

The Gaza Health Ministry said on Tuesday said that 69 more injured people were also transferred to hospitals, taking the number of injuries to 116,343 in the Israeli brutal campaign

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

The Israeli army resumed its assaults on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 1,630 people and injured over 4,300 others despite a ceasefire agreement that took hold in January.

Israeli bombardments across Gaza continue to claim more Palestinian lives as the regimes’ blockade on humanitarian aid worsens the already dire situation in the besieged territory.

Meanwhile the Gaza health ministry has warned that people are dying of preventable and treatable illnesses.

The ministry said, the condition of the injured and chronically ill has worsened because of the Israeli imposed blockade on the Palestinian territory.

The ministry has warned that “the ongoing shortage of medications hinders medical teams from carrying out emergency interventions for the wounded.

“Hundreds of patients and wounded individuals are deprived of essential medications, and their suffering is worsening due to the closure of crossings [by Israel],” the ministry said.

“Cancer, kidney failure, and heart patients are the most affected by the shortage of medications and medical supplies.”

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the besieged Palestinian territory.
