Hamas has urged nations around the world to join a week-long global demonstration in protest against Israel’s horrific acts of barbarism against the people of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian resistance group called on all nations, especially Arab and Islamic countries, to take to the streets and “demand an end to the war of genocide” in Gaza.

“We call for the mobilization of all energies and means during the coming week to support Gaza’s steadfastness, condemn the aggression, and demand an end to the war of genocide by escalating all forms of solidarity action, including marches, sit-ins, and angry protests in capitals, cities, and squares around the world.”

Hamas called for the protests hours after the United Nations warned that Gaza’s humanitarian crisis was spiraling out of control, with no aid entering the territory for weeks and conditions rapidly deteriorating.

Israel unilaterally broke a two-month ceasefire deal with Hamas and resumed its airstrikes on Gaza on March 19. It is now six weeks since Israel allowed any supplies to enter through crossings into the Palestinian territory.

According to an updated toll released by the Gaza Health Ministry on Tuesday, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza has climbed above the 51,000 mark.

Since early Tuesday morning, Israeli forces have killed at least 13 Palestinians across Gaza, according to health officials.
