Chinese New Year’s Eve coincides with Xizang’s traditional Gutu Eve, which fell on January 28 this year. A family in Xizang’s Dingri County gathered in a cozy prefabricated house to watch the 2025 Spring Festival Gala and enjoy the traditional gutu, a hearty soup made with wheat flour dough balls and various ingredients, such as highland barley, dried cheese, and yak meat. The scenes of earthquake relief and post-disaster resettlement deeply moved them.
