As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the New Year, CGTN has launched a global social media campaign: “1,001 Wishes for 2025 #Hello2025.” The campaign invites the participants to share their wishes for 2025 and is available in over 80 languages.
The end of the year is usually a great time for South Koreans to gather for meals, travel, and visit friends and family. However, this year, these traditions have been disrupted by political turmoil. Han Gwang-jin, a dentist from South Korea, notes the many divisions and conflicts in South Korean society, hoping for these conflicts to lessen and for people to be more forgiving of each others’ mistakes in the coming year. His New Year’s resolutions are to use his phone less, read more, exercise more, and maintain a harmonious family atmosphere.
