At least 31 people are dead – including two children – after two ballistic missiles struck the north-eastern city of Sumy, Ukraine’s state emergency service says.
Officials say 84 others are injured, including 10 children, as Ukrainian President Zelensky condemned the “horrific” strikes which hit an “ordinary city street”.
This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with US envoy Steve Witkoff on Friday – which focused on “aspects of a Ukrainian settlement,” the Kremlin says.
