Burkina Faso’s interim president says elections to be held once security is assured

Dr. Wole Ojewale of the Institute for Security Studies believes the declaration by interim president, Captain Ibrahim Traore, is simply a way to prolong the military administration’s stay in power. Ojewale says a lot of international pressure and support is the only way to ensure elections are held in a timely manner.
