A recent report from Deutsche Bank indicates that Chinese consumer confidence has improved, thanks to the government’s proactive measures to stimulate domestic demand. In an exclusive interview with CGTN host Tian Wei, Alfred Schipke, former IMF senior resident representative in China, emphasized that China’s policy mix is crucial for revitalizing domestic consumption. The plan for special initiatives to boost consumption includes 30 targeted measures across eight key areas, aimed at addressing major barriers to consumption.
