Mitsuhisa Furuichi, a parliamentarian from Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture, said in an interview with CGTN that the Japanese government came up with a total of four options while planning the nuclear wastewater treatment. Although it went for the cheapest option, the actual cost far exceeds estimates.
