Hamas has transferred the bodies of four Israeli hostages to the Red Cross in Gaza in the first release of dead hostages since the ceasefire began.
Hamas says the dead include three members of the Bibas family – Shiri and her young children Kfir and Ariel, who were aged nine months and four years when Hamas kidnapped them during the 7 October 2023 attack.
The fourth body is Oded Lifschitz, 84, a retired journalist and veteran peace activist, said Hamas.
