Counter-Strike has a new music kit and it shows just how brilliant cultural fusion can be! The “Hualian” (or Painted Face) brings together Qinqiang Opera – a genre of folk Chinese opera – and modern Rock ‘n’ Roll in the form of a “battle song.” At the 2024 Shanghai Counter-Strike Major, which concluded on December 15, Chinese artists brought this piece to the stage, offering music and esports enthusiasts worldwide a unique audiovisual experience.
