Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with U.S. Senator Steve Daines and some American business people who attended the China Development Forum 2025 in Beijing. Premier Li said that China-U.S. relations had been at a new critical juncture. In an exclusive conversation with CGTN host Tian Wei, Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee of U.S.-China Relations, suggested that more conversations between China and the U.S. on different levels could help ease misunderstandings between the two sides.
