In 2022, Mellisa from Rwanda enrolled in Hangzhou Normal University’s Alibaba Business School, majoring in e-commerce. Over the ensuing four years of study, Mellisa will not only take a deep-dive into cross-border trade but also get hands-on experience in China’s booming digital economy. Mellisa’s ultimate aim is to bring the e-commerce knowledge and experience she gains back home, helping more people harness e-commerce strategies to boost sales and drive Rwanda’s digital transformation.
