Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, among others, died in a helicopter crash, officials and state media said on May 20. On May 21, the farewell ceremony for those lost in the crash was held in Tabriz, Iran. The funeral and commemoration ceremonies for Raisi and his entourage will be held on Wednesday in Tehran.
