Super Typhoon Yagi hits Hainan, causes extensive damage

Super Typhoon Yagi struck the island province of Hainan in southern China with heavy rain and strong winds. The typhoon caused residents’ balcony windows to shatter and knocked down trees within minutes of making landfall. Many residents took shelter in underground garages. The storm left widespread damage, resulting in at least two deaths and 92 people injured.
