Washington, D.C. is bracing for Election Day on November 5 with enhanced security measures. Fences and barricades have been erected around the White House. Shops near the White House have also boarded up their windows with plywood. According to reports, more than 3,000 police officers will work 12-hour shifts in the U.S. capital, with most of their leave time and vacations canceled.
