Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian criticized the U.S. for shifting blame of its fentanyl problem onto China, and noted China’s humanitarian efforts to help the U.S. combat the crisis during a press briefing on Tuesday. He also said that China does not fear coercion or bullying, and if the U.S. insists on escalating tensions through tariffs or other confrontational tactics, China will respond accordingly.
