মাগুরায় নির্যাতনের শিকার শিশুটি মারা গেছে। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন। প্রধান উপদেষ্টা গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন। আসামীদের দ্রুত বিচারের আওতায় নিয়ে আসার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন তিনি। শিশুটির মৃত্যুর তথ্য প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে নিশ্চিত করেছে আইএসপিআর। জানায়, দুপুর ১টার দিকে ঢাকার সম্মিলিত সামরিক হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করে শিশুটি। আজ সকালেও তিনবার কার্ডিয়াক অ্যারেস্ট হয়। দুইবার স্থিতিশীল করা গেলেও, তৃতীয়বার আর হৃদস্পন্দন ফিরে আসেনি। গত ৮ মার্চ, শিশুটিকে সংকটাপন্ন অবস্থায় ঢাকা সিএমএইচে ভর্তি করা হয়। বোনের বাড়িতে বেড়াতে গিয়ে গত ৬ মার্চ শিশুটি ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়। এ অভিযোগে মামলা করেন তার মা। মামলায় শিশুটির বোনের শ্বশুর, ভগ্নিপতি, শাশুড়ি ও ভাশুরকে গ্রেফতারের পর রিমান্ডে নেয়া হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনী শিশুটির বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনার পাশাপাশি শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানিয়েছে।

It said that the child breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka around 1 pm. This morning, he had cardiac arrest three times. Although he was stabilized twice, his heartbeat did not return the third time. On March 8, the child was admitted to Dhaka CMH in critical condition. The child was raped on March 6 while visiting his sister’s house. His mother filed a case on this allegation. The child’s sister’s father-in-law, brother-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been arrested in the case and taken on remand. The Bangladesh Army expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family, wishing for the forgiveness of the departed soul of the child.
