Prince Andrew seemingly took King Charles III’s place during his latest outing with the royal family, sending a message to the world by “positioning himself in the role of leader of the British royal group” at King Constantine’s memorial in Windsor on Wednesday.

The Duke of York’s appearance and his confidence gave birth to many questions regarding his possible new role in the Firm amid King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s absence.

Prince William’s sudden decision to cancel his appearance at his godfather’s memorial service also fueled rumours about his feud with the monarch amid his wife’s health fears.

“The new shocking development in the Firm indicates as something doesn’t seem quite right in the palace,” a royal source has claimed.

“It seems as something hurt the Prince of Wales as he cancelled his memorial reading.”

Few others called the move shocking as the said: “The King seemingly hinted at giving his younger brother Andrew a new role amid crisis within the family.”

“The disgraced royal appeared in high spirit as he led members of the royal family into the church and was also the first to greet the priest.” 

Queen Camilla also arrived separately to attend the service at St George’s Chapel. 

The 64-year-old, who stepped down from royal duties two years ago, “used power techniques to signify authority”, a body language expert has claimed.

According to Judi, Andrew’s gestures signified he wanted to ‘position himself in the role of leader’ of the British royal group, using ‘tactile and very dominant’ body language.”
