The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has fired advanced cruise missiles at vital targets in the Israeli-occupied territories in retaliation for the massacres committed by the Zionist regime against civilians in Gaza.

The resistance, which is an umbrella group of anti-US and anti-Israel factions, said in a statement it hit vital targets in the areas of Wadi Areeha and the Nevatim Airbase using Arqab cruise missiles.

The statement vowed the resistance will continue its operations for as long as the genocide in Gaza continues.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been conducting many such attacks on Israeli targets since the occupying regime launched the genocidal campaign in Gaza in early October.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has also struck major US military bases in Syria and Iraq amid anger over Washington’s support for Israel’s brutalities in Gaza.

The resistance recently escalated anti-Israel operations amid attacks on Rafah in southern Gaza.

On Tuesday, the resistance said the fighters used a new kamikaze drone in their strike against a strategic target in the southernmost part of the Israeli-occupied territories.

Last week, they also struck the regime’s Ovda airbase, which lies in the southern part of the occupied territories, around 40 kilometers north of the port of Eilat.
