Students clash with riot police in Bangladesh over controversial job policy

Thousands of job reform protesters in Bangladesh engaged riot police and units of the paramilitary Border Guard force, a day after violent clashes left six people dead and scores injured.

Dozens were injured outside Dhaka University campus as students protested against public sector job quotas, which include a 30 per cent reservation for family members of fighters from the 1971 War of Independence from Pakistan.
